CHANELLING MY ENTHUSIASM
I have been a client of Mike's Full House Fitness for more
than 8 years. I'm a woman in my early fifties an have two
workouts per week. Mike Karr has been a phenomenal coach!
When I started my workout program I had some core body
strength and toning background, but no strength training
experience at all.
Mike channels my enthusiasm into appropriate levels of weight
and reps, reigning in my tendency to overdo to the point of injury.
Mike is also able to adjust the workout to handle non-exercise
related injuries. I can vouch for his success in accommodating
a turned ankle and strained shoulder. In both occasions he
adjusted levels of existing exercises or substituted new ones
to encourage injury recovery while maintaining the rest of my
fitness. Brownie points also for knowing when healing was
complete and not letting me rush a return to my regular routine.
In the past couple of years I turned 50 and my career demands increased. I discovered that my workout needs had changed too. Mike has been creative and insightful in retooling my routine from strength building into strength maintenance, adding additional cardio, with new attention to flexibility and balance. Plus, we've got time in each workout devoted to relaxation. Yea!
My current workout is a perfect (for me) balance of strength training, core exercise, balance, relaxation and cardio. Mike's extensive knowledge, personal wisdom and professionalism continues to impress.
